Community Beach Art Classes & Little Waves Playgroup 🌊🎨 Come and join us for a beautiful morning of creativity, connection and seaside fun at Raby Bay Foreshore Park Beach in Cleveland! Run by local artist Renée Johnston, our Council-approved Community Beach Art Classes & Little Waves Playgroup bring art, play and nature together in a relaxed and welcoming beachside environment for all ages and abilities. Whether you have a little one discovering art for the first time, an older child who loves getting creative, or you’re an adult looking for a relaxing way to create and connect with others, everyone is welcome! No artistic experience is needed — simply come along, have fun and create at your own pace. Get creative under the shady trees with beach-inspired activities including watercolour painting, oil pastels, drawing and sketching, mixed media, sand art, mindfulness colouring and more. All art materials are provided, with activities designed to encourage creativity, confidence, imagination and self-expression. Take your masterpiece home with you at the end of the session! 🎨 For our littlest artists, Little Waves Playgroup offers plenty of opportunities to paint, create, play with bubbles, build sandcastles, explore the beach and make new friends. Parents, grandparents and caregivers are encouraged to join in the fun too! 🫧 When: Monday & Wednesday, 9am–10am. Weather permitting and subject to Renée’s availability. Pre-booking is recommended to reserve your art pack, with casual walk-ins welcome when supplies are available. Additional days may also be available for group bookings of 5 or more participants. Extra sessions available during School Holidays. Where: Raby Bay Foreshore Park Beach, Masthead Drive, Cleveland QLD. Look for Renée’s blue art wagon at the first beach under the shady trees. Cost: $15 per person, including all art materials. Babies under 12 months FREE. Payment is made on the day via cash (preferred) or PayID at the beginning of the session. Bring a hat, beach towel and water bottle. Morning tea, snacks and beach chairs are optional. Children must remain supervised by a parent or caregiver at all times, particularly near the water.
